About Continuum

Who's behind this, how we decide where things sit on the chart, and what we get out of it.

What Continuum is

Continuum is an independent educational tool for comparing Singapore savings and insurance-style products against real benchmarks -- CPF, Singapore Savings Bonds, T-bills, and fixed deposits -- on a single risk/return chart. It's built for anyone who's been handed a benefit illustration and wants a quick, honest sense of where it actually sits before talking to anyone about it.

What Continuum is not

Continuum is not a licensed financial adviser. Nothing on this site is financial advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy, avoid, or compare specific named products. Where we plot illustrative figures against real insurer names, those figures are clearly marked as illustrative examples, not published or guaranteed rates -- always work from your own Product Summary and Benefit Illustration.

How we decide where a product type sits

Positions on the continuum are based on typical guaranteed and illustrated return ranges for each product category, as commonly seen in benefit illustrations, cross-checked against publicly available rate schedules for government and bank benchmarks (CPF Board, MAS, SSB issuance schedules, and published bank fixed deposit rates). Government and bank benchmark figures are real, current published rates as of the "last updated" date shown; insurance product figures are illustrative examples representing a category, not a specific insurer's current offer.

How this site makes money

Continuum is free to use. When you submit an enquiry through the "Get matched, free" form, we pass your details to a licensed financial adviser partner, and may be compensated for that introduction. This doesn't change what we show you on the chart or in our guides -- our content isn't written to favour any particular product, insurer, or adviser. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what's shared and with whom.

Editorial process

Guides and product pages are researched and written by the Continuum editorial team and checked against publicly available regulatory and product information. If you spot something that looks outdated or wrong, email hello@continuum.practiseskills.com and we'll look into it.
