Educational only

This score reflects only the figures you provided and simple, fully-shown formulas -- it is not financial advice and not a substitute for reading the actual Benefit Illustration and Product Summary. Want it checked by a person instead?

What this tool reads, and how

Upload a Benefit Illustration or Product Highlights Sheet and WealthGraphd looks for the figures that decide whether a plan is what it seems:

  • What is guaranteed versus what is only illustrated at the higher and lower projection rates.
  • What you actually pay -- yearly, monthly or once -- and for how many years.
  • The yearly return on the guarantee alone and on the illustration.
  • What happens if you need the money early, using the surrender value printed in the document.
  • Charges and lock-in, where the document states them.

Anything it cannot read confidently is left blank for you to fill in -- never guessed.

Questions

Is my document uploaded anywhere?

No. PDFs are read inside your browser and the file is never sent to WealthGraphd. The PDF-reading library itself is loaded from a public CDN (cdnjs), which only sees that the library was requested -- not your document.

Which documents can it read?

Text-based PDFs such as a Benefit Illustration or Product Highlights Sheet. Scanned copies and photos have no text to read, and password-protected PDFs need the password removed first. In any of those cases you can type the figures in yourself -- the score and returns work the same.

How is the yearly return worked out?

It is an internal rate of return: every premium counts from the day you pay it, and the guaranteed or illustrated payout arrives at the end of the term. That matters because a plan where you pay yearly for ten years has most of its money invested for less time than a single payment would be, so dividing the payout by one premium (or even by the total) overstates the result. It treats the whole premium as savings, though part of what you pay buys insurance cover, so use it to compare plans rather than as a promise.

What is the WealthGraphd Score, and is it advice?

A transparent five-factor comparison -- capital guarantee, return potential, liquidity, fee disclosure and risk -- with every formula shown when you click a factor. It is an educational comparison, not a regulated rating and not financial advice, and it only ever uses figures from your document or that you typed in.
